At Cache Valley Labs Direct, we offer a variety of panels suited to different patients. The Comprehensive Heart Health Panel is an excellent choice for patients who may have an intensive family history of heart disease and disorders, or personal history of heart problems.
CBC w/ diff
A complete blood count (CBC) with a differential measures the different components of blood, including red blood cells (RBCs), platelets, and white blood cells (WBCs), including differentiating between different types of WBCs. A CBC blood test can help identify disorders of the blood, immune system, infections, and more.
$49.00
CMP
A comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP) includes levels of glucose, calcium, sodium, potassium, carbon dioxide, chlorine, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, albumin, total protein, alkaline phosphatase (ALP), alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), albumin, and bilirubin. Testing these analytes can provide insight into potential disorders or diseases and serves as a window into the overall health of a patient.
$49.00
TSH
Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) is secreted by the pituitary gland in the brain, and signals the thyroid to produce thyroid hormones, which affect metabolism. Increased or decreased TSH can point to health issues that may otherwise go unnoticed. $49.00
CRP (Cardiac)
C-Reactive Protein (CRP) is a protein that indicates inflammation in the body, and can be used to assess the risk of heart disease.
$59.00
Homocysteine
Homocysteine is an amino acid that is produced naturally by the body and broken down by Vitamins B12, B6, and B9 (also called folic acid). Elevated levels of homocysteine indicate vitamin deficiencies, which may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease.
$109.00
NMR, Lipids & Graph
This test measures the amount of LDL (“bad” cholesterol) circulating in the bloodstream, which correlates to the risk of heart disease. It provides an in-depth measurement of risk factors for atherosclerosis, heart disease, and Type II diabetes.
$119.00
Lipoprotein (a)
Lipoprotein (a) is a protein that transports cholesterol and is known to be a risk for heart disease in high levels.
$69.00
Apolipoprotein B
This test measures how much apolipoprotein B is in a patient’s blood; apolipoprotein B is a protein found in LDL cholesterol, which is known to cause damage to the cardiovascular system at high levels.
$59.00
Lipid Panel w/ Cholesterol/HDL Ratio
The lipid panel test measures high-density lipoprotein (HDL), low-density lipoprotein (LDL), total cholesterol, and triglycerides, as well as the cholesterol/HDL ratio. This ratio shows how much of the total cholesterol is “good” cholesterol.
$49.00
Cost of labs if purchased separately: $601.00 Cost of panel: $349.00
One of the best parts of working with a private lab is that you have the unique opportunity to shop around for the medical laboratory services that best suit you. We choose to empower our patients by sharing information that will help them gain the most relevant information for them. Panels that are similar to the Comprehensive Heart Health Panel include:
● Basic Heart Health Panel: The Basic Heart Health Panel is ideal for patients hoping to monitor heart health who have not yet experienced any symptoms. It includes the CBC, CMP, and CRP like the Comprehensive Heart Health Panel, but excludes more intensive testing.
● Advanced Lipid Panel: The advanced lipid panel includes the fats-related tests, including the lipid panel, apolipoprotein b, and lipoprotein (a) that are included in the Comprehensive Heart Health Panel. These can give insights into vascular (vein and artery) health, although this panel excludes the more heart-specific tests.
Our mission at Cache Valley Labs Direct is to empower our patients to gain more information about their health on their own terms.
