CBC w/ diff
A complete blood count (CBC) with a differential measures the different components of blood, including red blood cells (RBCs), platelets, and white blood cells (WBCs), including differentiating between different types of WBCs. A CBC blood test can help identify disorders of the blood, immune system, infections, and more.

A comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP) includes levels of glucose, calcium, sodium, potassium, carbon dioxide, chlorine, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, albumin, total protein, alkaline phosphatase (ALP), alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), albumin, and bilirubin. Testing these analytes can provide insight into potential disorders or diseases and serves as a window into the overall health of a patient.

The lipid panel test measures high-density lipoprotein (HDL), low-density lipoprotein (LDL), total cholesterol, and triglycerides. These are the lipids, or fats, in your blood.

Red blood cells have a variety of proteins on their surfaces, and the most immunogenic proteins--the ones likely to cause an immune response--are the ABO group and RHO system. Knowing your blood type, and especially your RHO type, is key to maintaining the health of an expectant mother and baby.

Panels Similar to Prenatal Labs

● Women’s Health Panel: The women’s health panel includes many of the same tests as the prenatal panel, but excludes ABO grouping & RHO typing while including a routine urinalysis and hemoglobin A1C. This panel is ideal for female patients who are not pregnant or expecting to become pregnant.
● Basic Health Panel #1: The Basic Health Panel #1 includes the CBC, CMP, and lipid panel included in the prenatal panel; the primary difference is that it does not include ABO and RHO typing or TSH. This panel provides more of an overview without looking into more pregnancy-specific information.
