Diagnostic Testing for Men in Logan, UT

Cache Valley Labs Direct in Logan, UT is a private medical laboratory and blood testing lab offering services to patients with or without a provider’s orders. We are passionate about helping clients take control of their health; one of our most popular services are our basic health panels. The basic health panels are a great fit for you if you are simply looking for preventative healthcare or who want to get a good idea of the current state of your health.
The vast majority of medical decisions are made based on laboratory results, which provide the grounds needed for evidence-based care, and the basic health panels can show indications of potential health issues that may need to be investigated further.

The Men’s Health Panel includes:

  • CCBC w/ diff

A complete blood count (CBC) with a differential measures the different components of blood, including red blood cells (RBCs), platelets, and white blood cells (WBCs), including differentiating between different types of WBCs. A CBC blood test can help identify disorders of the blood, immune system, infections, and more.
     $39

  • CMP

A comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP) includes levels of glucose, calcium, sodium, potassium, carbon dioxide, chlorine, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, albumin, total protein, alkaline phosphatase (ALP), alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), albumin, and bilirubin. Testing these analytes can provide insight into potential disorders or diseases and serves as a window into the overall health of a patient.
    $39.00

  • Lipid Panel

The lipid panel test measures high-density lipoprotein (HDL), low-density lipoprotein (LDL), total cholesterol, and triglycerides. These are the lipids, or fats, in your blood. $39.00

  • Routine Urinalysis

A routine urinalysis checks the components--like protein, glucose, and white blood cells--in a patient’s urine and can give insight into whether a patient has certain infections, diseases, and disorders.
    $29.00

  • Hemoglobin A1C

A routine urinalysis checks the components--like protein, glucose, and white blood cells--in a patient’s urine and can give insight into whether a patient has certain infections, diseases, and disorders.
    $29.00

  • Testosterone, Total

Having too much or too little testosterone--the “male hormone”--can affect many facets of physical and mental health. Total testosterone includes both active and inactive testosterone. $59.00

Analogous Bloodwork Options

As with anything related to healthcare, it’s important to understand your options as a patient. The Men’s Health panel is a great fit for male patients in generally good health, and there are a few options that offer similar insights, including:
Basic Health Panel #1: This test is a more general panel, and includes the CBC, CMP lab test, and lipid profile panel.
Basic Health Panel #2: Similarly, this panel gives a broad overview and includes the CBC test, CMP, and a routine urinalysis. The general health panels do not include sex-specific testing.
Comprehensive Male Panel: The Comprehensive Male Panel includes the same tests as the Men’s Health Panel, excluding the urinalysis, and adds TSH, Hemoglobin A1C, PSA, and DHEA-S for a deeper dive into male health.
Women’s Health Panel: The female counterpart to the Men’s Health Panel, the Women’s Health Panel includes the CBC with differential, CMP panel, lipid panel test, hemoglobin A1C, and routine urinalysis, and includes TSH in the place of the total testosterone test.
